Yn sgil y cyfyngiadau a gyflwynwyd ym mis Mawrth wrth i COVID-19 ledaenu o amgylch y byd, fe fu’n rhaid i Gôr ABC, fel pob côr arall, roi’r gorau i gwrdd i ymarfer bob wythnos yng Nghapel y Morfa. Ond, gan wybod bod y côr yn gymuned bwysig i’r aelodau a bod cerddoriaeth yn codi calon ac yn lleddfu gofid, fe aeth ein harweinydd, Gwennan Williams, ati i drefnu ymarferion rhithwir. Ac mae’r côr wedi dal ati i gwrdd – o bell – bob nos Iau yn ôl yr arfer i ganu’n hoff ddarnau, i ddysgu cerddoriaeth newydd, ac i gadw mewn cysylltiad â’n gilydd.
Due to the restrictions introduced in March as COVID-19 spread around the world, like all other choirs, Côr ABC had to abandon its weekly rehearsals in Capel y Morfa. However, aware of the fact that the choir is an important community for its members and of the power of music to lift spirits and bring comfort in difficult times, our director, Gwennan Williams, set up virtual rehearsals. And the choir has continued to meet – from afar – every Thursday evening as usual to sing repertoire pieces, to learn new music, and to keep in touch with each other.
